Free and Confidential Services

Caring for Women Center has been serving women, men and families in the greater Oroville Area for 40 years with free and confidential services.  While we started out as a Hotline, we have now expanded to two locations, one in Oroville and one in Gridley.  In 2024, we began working with Care Net of Paradise to open at intermittent clinic at our Oroville location.  Together we have served over 40 families with medical services that we hope to expand into Gridley in 2026.

Our services include:

• Pregnancy Tests
• Referrals to on-site ultrasounds and STI testing to Care Net of Paradise – Oroville Location
• Education on Pregnancy, Abortion and Adoption
• Friendship and emotional support
• Referrals to community resources; including but not limited to OBGYN services, Food Resources and Medi-Cal, etc.
• Information on Prenatal and infant care
• Maternity clothing, baby clothes, diapers and other necessities, including but not limited to cribs/play pens, bouncers, etc.
• Resolving after abortion issues
• Decision-making, planning and setting goals for the future

Free Pregnancy Tests

Though home pregnancy tests are very accurate, there is still a slight chance they could be false. Come in for a free pregnancy test to confirm your pregnancy even after getting a positive test result. Our team is ready to talk and help you in any way we can. We can inform you about all your options.

Peer Counseling

Discuss your pregnancy options. With all the questions and emotions that come with an unplanned pregnancy, it can be difficult to see clearly. Our caring team of peer counselors is here for you. After confirming your pregnancy, we can better inform you about all your options.

Fatherhood Program
